Preview: Louis Galloway stars in Topman film
Who better to personify the Topman spirit than our very own Louis Galloway? The silky-haired Scotsman is getting his film star debut in Laurence Ellis' beautiful new film campaign for Topman's autumn/winter denim range, launching Monday 4th of October.
Based on Louis as well as two other young men, three short films portray different faces of youth as seen through the eyes of the characters - and serve as an eternal memory of Louis' long-hair days. We miss his long locks!
Watch a preview of the film above - the full thing premieres on Monday 4th of October.

Ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes of your favourite Fashion Week Show? Our lovely friends at FTape went backstage at the Man SS 11 show armed with a camera to capture our male models enjoying some down time before they take to the catwalk...we’d like to say they were well behaved but we think from these shots you may come to your own conclusion! We were prepared for the madness, makeup and flashes of nudity but sock puppets and face pulling? Thats not what we teach them at the agency!

Challenge 34 - Vintage/Shabby Chic
Yay... it's Friday and nearly the weekend :-) Before I tell you about this weeks challenge I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Crystal, Emma and Louise for all the beautiful creations they shared with us during their guest term. We really loved having you :-)
So that means it's now time to introduce you to three more talented crafty ladies :-)
Hi, my name is Mariska, with my husband and two sons (6 and 8 years old) I live on a dairy farm in the Netherlands. Besides being mother and wife I work as an executive secretary three days a week. I am addicted to stamps, paper, ribbons, buttons and of course to my Copic markers! I am very excited to be a guest designer for Wags n Whiskers and until the end of this year I hope to inspire you with my creations.
This is Barbara with a big “Howdy” from Texas! I've been into arts and crafts since I could run with scissors and have been making cards for over eight years. I'm a night owl and make most of my cards after everyone goes to bed. As for the rest of the day, like most of us, I'm a headless chicken! I live by the motto “A stamp a day keeps the stress away” and I look forward to creating along side this amazing team! Take a gander at my personal blog at http://forgottenscraps.blogspot.com/ and "Ya’ll come back now!"

Fall Overhaul: Mod Podge Boots
Re-vamp an old pair of boots with a little Mod Podge and uber cute fabric. It is easy...I swear. They took me about 1.5 hours to make with a 5 hour dry time. I so wanna do a pair of cowboy boots.....yee haw!
Materials:
Smooth Pleather or Leather Boots
Fabric - Westminster - ZaZu by Tina Givens
Scrap Paper
Pencil
Scissors
Mod Podge - Fabric
Foam Paintbrush

Let's Do This!
Begin with a pair of smooth pleather or leather boots
Make a paper pattern of the boot. I like to tape the paper to the boot and sketch the shape with a pencil. Add a little extra to the length and the back-side seam.
Trace the pattern to the backside of the fabric. Be sure to position the pattern over your desired print pattern.

Cut.
Oh La La! Here is the magic podge.
Brush the Mod Podge to the back of the fabric piece.
Position on the boot. Smooth ant air bubbles with your finger.
Trim the over hang.
Begin the zipper side. You will need to make two different patterns for the zipper side.
Apply to the boot.
Repeat pattern, mod podge and apply the second zipper side.
Overlap the backside. Trim to smooth. Allow to dry!
Finished!
Go Make Some!
Then run around town and
show off your re-vamped boots!
When people ask,
"where did you get your boots?"
tell them you made them!!!

Maybe she’s born with it...maybe its Marie Claire!
Team Elite extended our Fashion Week marathon by heading down to the Marie Claire/Maybelline pop up shop in London’s Covent Garden for a day of scouting (and self indulgent makeup shopping!). we somehow managed to distract ourselves from the exclusive new Maybelline collection to hit the streets and the shop floor on a mission to find our very own future cover star...
